This flange type tension detector is electrically compatible with a stationary tension detector (LS-TD). It can be attached directly to the wall of equipment, minimizing the width of the equipment. This tension detector, with a smaller footprint than a stationary tension detector, can be used for more complicated material path line devices and for tension control with a high degree of freedom.
The sensor roller of LB series is recommended for the web tension detecting during the web processing, in cantilever applications. The LB sensor roller has an high precision in detecting the web tension thanks to the two sensor with double metal foil right inside.
In order to generate the torque, a DC voltage is applied to the coil via the connection cable. The resulting magnetic field acts over the air gap on the armature plate and attracts the plate against the force of the prestressed spring towards the friction lining of the rotor. The torque is transmitted by friction.
